「一鑽植牙系統」化繁為簡,讓植牙變得輕鬆簡單!

Partnered with OsseoFuse International Inc., Dr. Leon Chen, whose combined experience with Dr. Jennifer Cha have placed over 60,000 implants, have created the world’s first definitive one drill system called “iDrill”. iDrill is the only device to combine multiple sequential drills into a single drill. After initially filing a patent on the design back in 2014 and only after years of design and testing, the iDrill is ready to replace the 5 or more drills gold standard in implantology.

Like most ideas, the iDrill was born out of necessity. Dr. Leon Chen had a concept of combining the typical 5 or more drills sequence into as few drills as possible to reduce potential mistakes and increase primary stability for the dentist while reducing fatigue and distress for the patient. Using multiple drills to place an implant requires changing them out as the surgery proceeds which is not only cumbersome, but increases chair time, the chance for infection and overall discomfort both during surgery and post op.  These issues are compounded when placing multiple implants.

To simply decrease the number of drills required for the surgical procedure was not a viable answer. Doctors and researchers have been exploring solutions to reduce the number of drills necessary for success. The iDrill solution meets and exceeds all the requirements to complete the implant procedure effectively.

The iDrill is a true one drill system with 5 width sizes available. The iDrill design includes both steps and a taper for self-taping implants to create a step-locking concept and a final stopper as a safeguard. The iDrill steps allow the operator minor side cutting capability as well in case of a directional change and the stopper will prevent the surgeon from going deeper than intended. The iDrill is also ideal in situations when the point of view is obstructed by blood, water, or other anatomical structures.

The iDrill was developed by the highly experienced surgeon Dr. Leon Chen to not only replace the typical 5 or more drills implant sequence, but to expand dentists’ capabilities as well. The iDrill is an idyllic tool for dentists who are looking to increase implant stability while minimizing patient discomfort.
